In accordance with article 6.2.2 (Notification of courses) of the Contract Faculty Collective Agreement, applications are invited for the following courses, to be offered during the following session:
Winter 2026
ECO 124 Sports Economics 3-3-0
The course applies microeconomic principles to analyze sports. Among the topics covered are the market for sports, the market for talent, pricing decisions, labour relations, and the role of public policy. The field draws from several important subfields of microeconomics, including game theory, industrial organization, public economics, labour economics, and the economics of information.
The course will be allotted in accordance with the Contract Faculty Collective Agreement, including the applicable rules for seniority.
Contract faculty members who have seniority points may simply submit a letter of interest via e-mail. Other candidates should submit full applications by e-mail (covering letter, curriculum vitae, and any other materials required to demonstrate that they have the necessary expertise to teach the course) to contact mvigneau@ubishops.ca by Tuesday, July 22.
Remuneration is $9560.92, with travel and marking expenses provided where appropriate.
Only those applicants chosen for an interview will be contacted.
