About the role
The Licensed Trailer Mechanic will work in conjunction with the Service Coordinator, Tractor Mechanics, and the other Trailer Mechanics to complete preventative maintenance and repairs on the Bison fleet in a timely and efficient manner by diagnosing problems found during inspections prescribing the correct remedial action.
Specific Responsibilities include:
- Trailer Maintenance: working safely and performing preventative maintenance on all trailers in the fleet. This includes diagnosing problems found during inspections and proscribing the correct remedial action.
- Trailer Repairs: performing repairs diagnosed during the pre/post-trip or quick check inspection and preventative maintenance.
- Other: entering work orders, shop cleaning, attending team meetings, and other miscellaneous repairs on Bison equipment.
Qualifications:
- A certified Journeyman Trailer Technician or 2-3 year's experience.
- A CVIP license is mandatory with experience to perform Safety inspections.
- Must have a valid class 5 driver's license.
- Demonstrated diagnosing and time‐management abilities will be key to your success in this position.
