Our Investment Finance NAV Quality Control (IFNQC) team ensures that the Net Asset Value (NAV) is correct across AIMCo’s multi-layered portfolios to provide accurate and timely information that is used in the investment decision process. Supporting the investment management team, you will provide the data needed to make informed decisions.
The NAV Quality Control Analyst will assist in the accuracy of the NAV to address and prevent anomalies that were overlooked during normal business hours and report on the NAV accuracy. You will review transactions and positions and complete reconciliations across AIMCo’s entire portfolio. You will ensure the accuracy of the Net Asset Value (NAV) by working to address and prevent anomalies that were overlooked during the normal business hours and report on NAV accuracy.

- Investigating and resolving significant NAV discrepancies using validation tools in accordance with Pre-NAV Validation Correction Guidelines, ensuring timely and accurate NAV reporting.
- Completing daily reconciliations to substantiate the completeness and accuracy of the NAV and responding to related accounting/audit queries as they arise.
- Collaborating with Finance and Operations teams to identify the root cause of NAV errors and provide accounting guidance on implementing preventative measures.
- Continuously enhancing, automating, and expanding the Pre-NAV Validation process using various platforms including SimCorp Dimension (SCD), SQL/Snowflake and Power BI dashboards
- Providing support and assistance related to corrections needed by Finance and Operations staff.
- Contribute to process improvements, documentation standards, and overall reliability of NAV reporting.
- Assist in developing test cases and validating system enhancements to support continuous improvement.
Our Ideal Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in the financial services industry with a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Progress toward or completion of a professional designation (CPA, CFA) is an asset.
- Familiarity with SimCorp Dimension (SCD) is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in financial data analysis tools such as Power BI, SQL, Snowflake, and Excel (advanced level).
- Knowledge of capital markets, financial instruments, and quantitative analysis.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to issue resolution.
Success Measures Your success in the role will be in your ability to gain a deep understanding of SimCorp Dimension and able to make the necessary corrections. Establish trusted relationships with stakeholders to conduct a root cause analysis and preventative measures. Advanced automating and enhancement of the NAV Validations and visualization tools. Your enthusiasm and passion for learning will be supported by the Investment Finance NAV Quality Control team.
