Your contribution! Reporting to the Director - Financial Project Control, you will be responsible for developing and implementing accounting processes related to project accounting. You will be responsible for recording transactions and presenting monthly budget reports to project managers. You will also be responsible for preparing quarterly presentations for senior management. You will ensure the smooth running of the accounting process for your role(s), for which you will have full responsibility.

Your day-to-day!

  • Develop and implement accounting processes for project accounting;
  • Supervise and participate in the completion of all tasks in the project accounting module and make adjustments to balance the general ledger in the integrated management software package, from the opening to the closing of each accounting period;
  • Prepare project financial statements;
  • Presentation of monthly budget reports to project managers;
  • Preparing quarterly presentations for senior management;
  • Supervise the work of intermediate accountants and accountants in the project accounting team;
  • Participate in the continuous improvement process for our project information centralization platform;
  • Monitoring and supporting procurement and payments to ensure timely processing;
  • Ensure and coordinate the automation and efficiency improvement of the project accounting module in the integrated management software package in collaboration with the IT team;
  • Prepare the sections related to project accounting in audit files;
  • Prepare project accounting sections for the tax team;
  • Establish and maintain rigorous internal controls;
  • Develop, improve, and maintain internal processes as well as monthly and quarterly reports;
  • Participate in certain special assignments.

Your skills, our requirements!

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting;
  • Hold a CPA designation;
  • Experience in a similar position;
  • Experience in accounting for a multi-entity, multi-project structure;
  • Experience in managing multiple currencies is an asset;
  • Experience working for a public company is an asset;
  • Excellent ability to concentrate and work under pressure with tight deadlines;
  • Bilingualism (French and English, written and spoken) is required to ensure collaboration with different stakeholders outside of Québec on a regular basis.

Additional considerations!

  • The position can be based in the company's Longueuil (Quebec) headquarters, steps away from the Longueuil-Université de Sherbrooke metro station;
  • This position is a P3 level.
