Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Animal Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the care and management of laboratory animals, ensuring their well-being and health while assisting in various research projects. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal welfare and a strong interest in laboratory environments.

Duties

  • Provide daily care for laboratory animals, including feeding, watering, and monitoring their health.
  • Maintain accurate records of animal care and health observations.
  • Assist in the preparation of animals for research procedures, ensuring compliance with ethical standards.
  • Monitor environmental conditions within animal facilities to ensure optimal living conditions.
  • Collaborate with researchers to support ongoing studies and experiments involving animal subjects.
  • Participate in training programs to stay updated on best practices in animal care and laboratory protocols.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with animals, preferably in a laboratory setting, is highly desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow protocols meticulously.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of animal husbandry practices and laboratory safety regulations is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
  • A compassionate attitude towards animals and a commitment to their welfare.
