Job Summary We are seeking a skilled IT Technician to support end users by troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing IT onboarding/offboarding, and installing equipment. You will handle device deployment, maintain documentation, and perform regular equipment checks. Additionally, you’ll assist IT staff with system updates, manage IT purchases and renewals, and ensure accurate inventory data. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to stay updated on IT trends, while also providing support for ongoing IT projects.

Responsibilities

  • Determine and address users' IT technical needs: Provide appropriate solutions and promptly troubleshoot Nakisa hardware and software issues for end users.
  • Manage IT onboarding/offboarding: Utilize available tools and procedures to handle the IT onboarding and offboarding process for employees.
  • Install hardware and software: Efficiently install hardware, software, and licenses on end users' computers.
  • Maintain documentation: Keep support FAQs, knowledge bases, and procedural documents up to date.
  • Deploy end-user devices: Manage device deployment using a centralized system and assist with equipment shipment by preparing packages and coordinating with the office manager.
  • Support IT personnel: Aid IT support staff in maintaining up-to-date software, operating systems, OS images, and device management.
  • Conduct weekly IT equipment checks: Perform weekly office IT equipment and setup checks, providing solutions for any recorded issues.
  • Stay updated on IT trends: Keep track of technological advancements and trends in IT support, suggesting enhancements to IT management.
  • Assist in maintaining the internal monitoring systems: Ensure the availability and proper setup of monitoring systems, managing sensors and alerts, and enhancing the process and system.
  • Manage IT purchases and renewals: Plan, coordinate, monitor, and execute all IT-related software, hardware, and license purchases and renewals, working with various vendors.
  • Maintain data accuracy: Ensure data accuracy and availability on end-users’ equipment, software, and license inventories, keeping information up to date.
  • Collaborate on task management: Work with IT team leads on task and priority management.
  • Stay on top of tasks and tickets: Keep track of assigned tasks and tickets, providing updates and progress reports to IT team leads and management.
  • Organize IT inventory: Maintain organization of the IT inventory room, ensuring all items and equipment are well-arranged.
  • Assist with IT projects: Support tasks and projects from other IT team members when needed.

Qualifications

  • Degree or certificate in IT or other computer-related discipline
  • 1+ years’ experience in similar role
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent proficiency with Windows 10/11 and Servers 2016 and above
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft 365 users and license management
  • Good knowledge of Active directory, GPO, WSUS etc.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Exchange online
  • Good knowledge of procurement and purchasing
  • Experience with ticketing systems such as Atlassian Jira
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage stress effectively in high-pressure situations
  • Adaptability and Flexibility, Continuous Improvement, Communication, Problem Solving/Analysis, Teamwork
