What You’ll Be Doing:
Reporting to the Office Manager, the Night shift Guest Attendant/ Housekeeper is accountable to meet the needs of the Residents in accordance with legislative requirements and organization standards.
- Responsible for handling emergency call pendants through out the shift.
- Assists with the preparation of food under the direction of the Chef;
- Practices and maintains established standards for cleanliness and sanitation throughout all aspects of housekeeping...cleaning floors, bathrooms, taking out garbage etc.
- Complies with all provincial regulations, and company policies, ORCA training is provided
- Participates in drills to prepare for emergencies and attends all education sessions in relation to emergency preparedness.
- Work in accordance with the organization’s Health and Safety Policies and Procedures and in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act
What you need to know:
- Ability to work independently
- Experience working with seniors and knowledge of the aging process an asset;
- Proven customer service skills to work with residents of various cultural backgrounds
- Effective verbal and written English communication skills required
