About the role

For this position in the Airport candidate must meet the minimum requirements below and as stated in the application questions:

· Must be a PR/Canadian Citizen to gain Airport security clearance*

· RAIC holders/Airport Screening exp will be given preference

· Must have a strong command of English

· Must have a valid Provincial Security License

· Must have a valid Emergency First aid and CPR certification.

· Possess access to a vehicle for transportation ( considered an asset )

****Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident to be eligible for this position as you must be able able to get a RAIC certification issued by the Airport if you don't already possess one.****

Job Code: YUL Supervisor – Cargo Security

Location: Montreal, Quebec

Compensation package: TBN

Minimum 3 years Supervisory experience in a unionized environment

Must possess strong leadership skills

Must possess strong Admin skills

Must possess strong communication skills

Must be fluent in both English and French

Cargo/Airport experience – Preferred

Possess a full RAIC - Preferred

Duties shall include but will not necessarily be limited to:

  • Daily site visits to all sites, engage with employees ensuring proper appearance/uniform and PPE are worn at all times.
  • First point of contact for any staff related issues/complaints/requests.
  • First point of contact for all client needs with Management support as needed.
  • Lead mentor, train field staff.
  • Monitor and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Be flexible and able to assist with cargo screening/related duties/responsibilities as required to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist in maintaining KPI’s
  • Organize, arrange and participate as Employer representative for YUL JHSC program.
  • Appear on behalf of Logixx on any Union related matters as needed.
  • Min 1 site audit per working day completed daily and monitor staff compliance of Government policies and procedures.
  • Supervisors Daily Notes submission, end of each workday.
  • Responsible for assisting Ops with all schedule related duties/maintenance, vacation, day off requests, sick coverage and OT reporting.
  • Recruitment, interviews and training of new recruits including all onboarding associated paperwork deliverable to Management in a timely manner.
  • Disciplinary action with advanced action/termination reported to Management for consideration
  • Security Licence/RAIC Audits including application process and expiration monitoring ensuring all staff are compliant.
  • Yearly Staff Evaluations
  • Additional duties as required.
