Location: Remote Delivery (on-site in Red Deer, AB for 2-3 days every 2 months)

Term: 12 months + possible extension

Work Hours: M-F 8 am - 5 pm

Client has undertaken a multi-year initiative to implement Salesforce and Salesforce Industry (SFI) for insurance. Client requires a senior solution architect to develop architecture models and documents.

Primary responsibility of the Solutions Architect is to design, develop, and implement scalable solutions while collaborating with a team. The incumbent must have a deep expertise in architecture, integrations, and best practices, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with business goals. This role requires strong technical acumen and the ability to communicate and collaborate with stakeholders, technical and business personnel across various teams.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

  • Architect and Design Solutions: Architect and develop scalable and high-performance solutions that align with client’s business objectives.
  • Review user stories to ensure the acceptance criteria is a clear and complete on which to base the technical design
  • Create/review technical designs (data, application, infrastructure, integration) to support the technical architecture and satisfy acceptance criteria
  • Salesforce Implementation & Customization: Oversee the Salesforce implementation, customization, configuration, and deployment of Salesforce Platform components.
  • Integration Management: Design and implement integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise applications, ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability.
  • Analyze existing legacy systems’ data to determine/document appropriate integration source target mapping to and from Salesforce and Boomi
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  • Provide guidance to Systems Analysts, Business Analysts and developers on technical design implementation
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business units, product owners, and IT teams to understand requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and drive digital transformation initiatives.
  • Security & Conformity: Ensure data security and system stability as well as troubleshoot performance issues and recommend improvements for efficiency and scalability.
  • Compliance and Audits: Conduct regular system audits, and compliance with industry regulations and standards as well as policies.
  • Documentation & Training: Maintain detailed technical documentation and provide training to users and IT staff as needed.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties and special projects assigned from time to time.

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology
  • 5-7 years Salesforce implementation experience
  • 3-5 years Solution Architect experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proven collaboration skills

Desirables

  • Data Modelling / Architecture experience
  • Familiarity with ArchiMate
  • Familiarity with Lucid or similar products
  • SalesForce certification at Architect level preferred or Developer certification
