About the role

We have an immediate opening for an experienced Test Technologist, to report to our Manufacturing Manager. If you are a strong problem solver and enjoy working in a team environment, then this might be the ideal opportunity for you.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES…

  • Understand the theory and function of all the electronic components related to our company’s products.

  • test. troubleshoot, rework and repair a broad span of products of varying complexity.

  • Document all tests performed.

  • Generate and incorporate Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Engineering Change Orders (ECO)

  • Provide input to test procedures.

  • Provide test and troubleshooting advice and expertise within the test area and to other departments as required.

  • Provide regular feedback to their manager on assigned tasks.

  • Co-ordinate the calibration of the department’s test equipment based on calibration schedules.

WHAT YOU BRING….

  • Recognized Technologist’s diploma in electronics.

  • 2-4 years experience in a test/troubleshooting environment down to the component level is a must

  • Logical and methodical troubleshooting, problem solving and analysis.

  • Manufacturing, test, and engineering equipment familiarity including, but not limited to, oscilloscopes, multi-meters, network analyzers, function generators, and frequent counters.

  • Strong computer skills with experience in installing and troubleshooting software on Windows platforms, maintaining databases, and preparing computer systems in a manufacturing environment.

  • Able to adapt to changes in operating systems and adjust work instructions as required.

  • Able to work with minimal supervision.

  • Must be an effective communicator and a collaborative worker.

  • Teamwork and team focus are a must.

  • Strong organization and analytical skills and strong attention to detail.
