We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation, ensuring that every dish meets our standards for taste and presentation. This position requires a strong understanding of food safety practices and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards.
- Assist in meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are prepped and ready for service.
- Prepares sauces, dressings, and other components of dishes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling techniques.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
- Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management.
- Wash, chop, peel, and portion ingredients for other cooks.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food storage and sanitation practices. Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food handling, safety, and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Familiarity with various cooking techniques and equipment used in the kitchen.
- A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that delight customers.
