How You Will Contribute As an Analog Design Engineer Program Manager, you will contribute to the development of broadband RF driver and transimpedance amplifiers for Ciena’s WaveLogic programs. You will work as part of a larger team and be responsible for overseeing ASIC package design, test, and verification as well as ASIC qualification and documentation.
In this role, you will...
- Work with analog designers to establish packaging / testing requirements
- Work with packaging engineer and testing house to meet those requirements
- Prepare qualification / test plan and work with partners to execute
- When needed, work with partners to do Failure Analysis and resolve issues
- Document activities and prepare / present material to the larger team
Collaboration with stakeholders
- Work as part of a team to deliver analog and mixed signal ASICs
- Communicate requirements to packaging / pcb / probe card layout engineers and provide feedback as needed.
- Communicate requirements to test / qualification engineers and provide feedback on implementation
- Provide written reports and presentations of work performed for the larger team and stakeholders
The Must Haves
- BS or MS degree in electrical engineering, materials science, and engineering, applied physics or related fields.
- Demonstrated technical leadership, working with individual contributors and end users to drive spec.
- Analog design / layout experience
- Knowledge of ASIC qualification industry standards
- Working knowledge of industry best practices
- 10 years of work experience
The Assets
- Experience with Package design, Power Integrity / Signal Integrity
- Experience with performing ASIC HTOL, LTOL, LU, ESD testing
- ASIC fabrication knowledge
- Project Management experience
Pay Range The annual salary range for this position is $105,500 - $168,500.
Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Please note that the pay range information provided in this posting pertains specifically to the primary location, which is the top location listed in case multiple locations are available.
Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
