About the role

The Warehouse Supervisor is an integral part of the team at Sky Café. The individuals selected for this role are effective leaders, and along with their direct reports are responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient execution of all day-to-day tasks related to their local Sky Cafe Station.

Job Responsibilities: Overall, Job Duties

  • Promote and embody the company core values, ensuring all team members are

  • Responsible for providing a safe and secure work environment for all employees.
  • Promote a Safety-First environment within the workplace.
  • Engage in regular employee/leadership engagement meetings.
  • Ensure self and team members follow uniform, appearance, and personal protective

equipment -PPE policies (safety toe shoes, uniform cleanliness, and jewelry).

  • Adhere to all policies and follow established procedures.
  • Participate in required meetings, providing input and recommendations.
  • Conduct and record in GPET appropriate Operational/Safety briefings
  • Conduct training and provide ongoing training support to all staff.
  • Perform audits ensuring all employees are following Company policies and procedures.
  • Actively participates in the Safety Management System (SMS).
  • Coordinates and ensures accident and injury investigations are conducted according to local and company policies.
  • GPET incident report (Safety Management System – SMS) is generated and sent out

within 3 hours of occurrence.

  • Accidents are reported to the GM and RVP as soon as possible.
  • Ensure all required training is completed to company standard.
  • Delegate job duties as required and ensure completion.
  • Ensure timely execution of all required duties and expectations.
  • Ensure daily shift report is prepared and a positive hand-off is completed during shift hand-over.
  • Holds self and team members accountable to safety, training, and overall performance of the shift.
  • Perform all functions of all operational positions, as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Warehouse Focus - Primary Role

  • Set up the daily set up spreadsheet for job allocation and the required labour

with the predetermined labour specifications. (with Manager).

  • Ensure labour and flights are planned and correct work instructions are provided

to the warehouse team.

  • Audit flight assembly for compliance to customer specifications.
  • Ensure the completion and accuracy of all required inventory counts within the requested time frame.
  • Ensure the completion and accuracy of obligatory Health Canada and local customer

required logs are adhered to.

  • I.e.: Cold chain fresh / frozen receiving log, sanitizing log, temperature control

logs and cleaning logs within the warehouse.

  • Ensure all Inbound Shipments are received according to SOP.
  • Ensure all Outbound Shipments are sent according to SOP.
  • Ensure warehouse set up and preparation meets expectations.
  • Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) of all goods is followed.
  • Attendance tracking for all warehouse employees, administer correction actions when

required.

  • Track daily productivity predetermined daily in all operational departments.

Transport Focus

  • Ensure labour and flights are planned and correct work instructions are provided

to the driver team.

  • Ensure aircraft are loaded in accordance with operational instruction.
  • Follow and enforce all airline/customer SOPs in accordance with training, service

procedures and SLA’s including safety compliance.

Work Environment

  • Computer work is required throughout the shift.
  • Must be capable of lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50lbs (23 kg) on a regular basis as per the physical demands analysis for the task at hand.
  • Regular standing, bending, and lifting during shift.

Work Experience/ Requirements

  • 2-3 years of leadership experience, successfully managing up to 40 direct reports
  • Experience with forecasting and managing schedules.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain in good standing.
  • Ability to work within the required time parameters.
  • Ability to work shifts, Days, Afternoon, Nights:
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and varying other religious days.
  • Must successfully complete airline and corporate specific training programs and

recertification

Qualifications

  • Education: High School diploma minimum, College preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to work on a permanent basis in Canada.
  • Must have a clear criminal record.
  • Must successfully obtain and maintain in good standing, a Transport Canada Security Clearance, and Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC).
