About This Role Rideau Memorial Gardens located in Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Quebec, is looking for a responsible and enthusiastic Sales Management Trainee to join our team. The Sales Management Trainee will work at Rideau Memorial Gardens and nearby branches as required. Reporting to the Branch Manager, the candidate of the Management Training Program will assist with the day to day sales operations of the Sales Branch. This position will also demonstrate knowledge of Arbor’s goals and objectives to the sales team. In addition, the candidate will back-up and support the needs of the branch in the Branch Manager’s absence. The overall goal is to gain the required skills and competencies so that the candidate can be considered for future Assistant Manager and/or Branch Manager roles when they become available. The candidate can be in this program for a period of 2 yearswith the possibility of extension and progression to Management opportunities.
The overall goal is to ensure that we create an environment that enhances the employee experience and ensures that in turn, our customers experience the best in class service.
Job Type: Full Time, Contract, 24 months
Key Qualifications And Demonstrated Abilities
- A University or College Degree/Diploma in Business Administration or a related program.
- Minimum of one (1) year of sales experience.
- Authentic leadership where your goal is to win the hearts and minds of your team.
- Demonstration of leadership capabilities that encourages team collaboration, open communication and recognition of their contributions to the success of the organization.
- Ability to promote and recognize both individual and team performance
- Proven experience recruiting and training new sales employees.
- Action oriented individual with the determination to achieve results and maximize growth potential.
- Articulate, professional and well organized.
- Demonstrated strong computer skills – Microsoft Office; Word PowerPoint and Excel.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and manage stress.
- A valid driver’s license is a mandatory requirement for this position.
- Must be flexible and able to work irregular hours.
- Proven ability to motivate and support a strong team environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and consistently high level of accuracy.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; verbal, written and presentation.
- Demonstrated strong customer service skills with the ability to partner will all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates superior leadership, communication skills and excellent customer service skills.
- Supports the Branch Manager in all branch initiatives and procedures.
- Assists in providing guidance to the Sales team in day-to-day activities and ensures best practices are implemented and adhered to.
- Assists in leading Branch Administrators to ensure duties are performed promptly and efficiently.
- Assists in the recruiting and training of all Sales employees.
- Assists in training of all Trainers and retraining of experienced Sales employees when necessary.
- Coordinates and assists the Sales Trainer with the field training of new recruits.
- Handles all customer issues and complaints in a satisfactory and timely manner.
- Supervises and coaches the work habits of the Sales team.
