OVERVIEW:
International Water-Guard (IWG) is a fast-growing aviation company located in Surrey, British Columbia. We design and develop all our products and have experienced rapid growth through new product development and winning new customers. IWG began on the road to significant growth years ago through product development outside of our normal envelope. We pride ourselves on pushing our limits and never saying we are “good enough”. ABOUT THE POSITION
The Vice President of Sales at International Water Guard will lead the sales functions to drive organic growth and enhance the company's competitiveness in the aerospace and defense sector. This role involves formulating sales strategies, overseeing the annual sales budget, and leading commercial activities. The VP will collaborate with engineering and operations to develop innovative product lines and maintain strong customer relationships to understand market needs and decision-making processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive introduction of new and innovative products by determining market drivers and customer needs.
Implement value-based pricing strategies with customers and promote this mindset throughout the organization.
Outline a strategic roadmap focusing on significant growth opportunities.
Partner with engineering and operations to develop and execute new product offerings.
Build a customer-centric culture by developing extensive customer relationships and understanding key decision-makers.
Attract, develop, retain, and reward talent across the organization to ensure bench strength and succession planning.
REQUIREMENTS
At least 10 years of experience in sales leadership positions.
Experience in the aerospace and defense sector with exposure to engineered products and aftermarket servicing.
Ability to balance strategy and execution, with a hands-on approach to quickly familiarize with the business processes.
Educational credentials likely include a technical undergraduate degree in engineering and an advanced degree in engineering and/or an MBA.
Demonstrated competencies in results orientation, team leadership, strategic orientation, and collaboration.
NICE-TO-HAVES
Experience in high margin and high mix/low volume engineered component solutions.
Proven ability to develop and implement standout sales processes
