What You’ll Do
Gyptech is seeking a Sales Applications Engineer (or Specialist) to join our head office Sales Team. Gyptech is committed to company growth and increased market share driven by increased sales. We are looking for a people-oriented professional. Your role will involve:
- Accountability and responsibility for growing/maintaining customer relationships and profit/loss.
- Conduct customer visits to generate growth, develop relationships, collect project information, refine project scope and discuss future project planning.
- Work with key local stakeholders to provide a best-in-class sales experience to the Gyptech customer base.
- Create supporting documents as required throughout the sales process.
- Utilize ERP, external suppliers and contractors to generate accurate project cost estimates.
- Support sales handover process with project managers and design teams following successful sale.
- Communicate with design group and project management group to remain current on new equipment, innovations and project feedback.
- Other tasks as required for the continued success of the Gyptech Sales Group.
This position is based out of our Burlington, Ontario head office with an opportunity for international travel to conduct visits to customer sites.
What You Offer
- You’re passionate about connecting with customers, building relationships, and finding solutions to challenges.
- Engineering degree or technical diploma (mechanical or controls).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
- ERP experience highly preferred.
- Self-starter who can communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Experience and technical understanding of heavy industrial and material handling equipment.
- Wallboard manufacturing experience an asset.
- Strong sales mindset.
- Computer skills Microsoft Office Suite, Auto-CAD, Autodesk Inventor.
- Exposure to PLC and HMI software programming.
