Join the Contract Design and Implementation Branch as a Senior Business Advisor, where you will drive modernization, innovation and excellence in contract design and service delivery projects.
Our branch takes a customer centric approach to the development of contracting approaches for divisional programs and services. Service (re)design and putting the customer experience first will play a role in developing how services will be delivered in future. To ensure success of this approach, proficiency in service management and design principles, project management, change management and quality management systems is important.
As a Senior Business Advisor in the Driver Examination Services (DES) Design Office, your role will focus on the development of contracting approaches and could span the full lifecycle of a project: from developing business cases to facilitate new contracts/agreements, re(designing) the services and/or contracts/agreements, designing transition plans, change management implementation and execution of new contracts/agreements.

About the job
In this role, you will:
- Capture and analyze user needs to develop user stories, client journey maps and business requirements, while supporting the detailed solution design
- Develop process improvement objectives, critical success factors, key performance indicators, and measurement and target metrics to facilitate continuous improvement
- Lead the design, development and deployment of tools, methods, processes, performance indicators and standards
- Support the management of complex transactions and negotiations with the private sector
- Provide risk management advice and guidance on change management plans
- Distill complex processes, analysis and findings into clear, concise and coherent reports, briefing notes or presentations
What you bring to the team
Business knowledge:
- You have ability to identify, map, analyse and evaluate business processes and methods
- You can develop, apply, and evaluate results of metrics
- You are able to assess, advise and manage the performance of business practices, re-engineer or develop new practices
Change management and project management knowledge and skills:
- You understand change management theories, practices, methods, and tools
- You have experience in developing and implementing change management strategies
- You understand stakeholder engagement principles, best practices, and methods to develop effective strategies.
- You are able to plan, resource, and budget scheduling, and evaluate risk management
- You can lead and plan concurrent projects and major process reengineering projects
- You have effective planning and organizing skills to plan and direct concurrent projects
Technical knowledge:
- You can interpret and apply policy, procedures and legislation
- You have an understanding of key performance indicators, qualitative and quantitative measurement and risk assessment
Communication and relationship management skills:
- You have oral and written communication skills to manage diverse business relations
- You are able to provide written and verbal instructions and advice to clients on re-engineering solutions
- You can prepare reports, presentations, and provide recommendations to senior management and clients
- You have consultation, collaboration, presentation and persuasion skills to obtain understanding of business processes
- You can build rapport and credibility as an agent of change and establish a trusted advisor/partner relationship across the public sector
Team leadership skills:
- You can lead multi-disciplinary project teams through all phases of complete projects
