Overview: The Packaging Development Associate is responsible for supporting the execution of new packaging development projects and ensuring all new opportunities have appropriate packaging to ensure performance and meet customer requirements. You will collaborate cross-functionally across internal teams of PD, Production, Engineering, Procurement, and Sales to ensure all packaging related needs are met.

Overview: The Packaging Development Associate is responsible for supporting the execution of new packaging development projects and ensuring all new opportunities have appropriate packaging to ensure performance and meet customer requirements. You will collaborate cross-functionally across internal teams of PD, Production, Engineering, Procurement, and Sales to ensure all packaging related needs are met.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Ensure dielines and printer specification database is maintained and reflects all the requirements (UPC, date code locations).
· Assist in the completion of all customer documentation within the customer-defined timeline.
· Support the design review and approval process to ensure critical path deadlines are met.
· Maintain our Packaging Library.
· Complete Packaging Intake Form for item creation for all new packaging.
· Review all NPD1s and provide input on packaging details for primary & secondary packaging and pallet configuration.
· Assist in the completion of required packaging fill-rate tests.
· Review Bill of Material (BOM) packaging details for the costing template.
· Review BOM final packaging details.
· Complete packaging details in Item Master Upload and customer portals.
· Support the development of detailed Product Specification Sheet for the Production team.
· Support the Packaging Development Manager in executing new product launches and provide on-site support to floor personnel during the first production runs of new products.
· Responsible for loading and maintaining packaging specifications within customer portals and managing customer documentation requests.
· Support Packaging Sustainability initiatives with all customers including both internal team communication plus customer packaging sustainability surveys.
· Continuous improvement of existing processes as required.
· Other duties as assigned by the Packaging Development Manager.
Experience, Qualifications, and Educational Requirements:
· 2 to 3 years of consumer-packaged goods experience.
· A University degree related to the discipline of marketing/business/commerce.
· Managing projects simultaneously with a high level of organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail required.
· Excellent time management with demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize.
· Confident and competent managing tasks that involve cross functional teams, and time sensitive processes.
High level of proficiency in using standard computer software packages including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel.

Work Environment When in the Plant:
· Exposed to allergens such as peanuts, tree nuts, sulphites, soya, dairy, egg, gluten, and sesame when walking or working.
· Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions including slippery floors.
· May be exposed to equipment and processing mediums exceeding several hundred degrees Fahrenheit and noise levels exceeding eighty-five decibels.
Mental Stress:
· Work and environment are not repetitious/unchanging.
· There is noticeable pressure from deadlines, accuracy, or similar demands.
