About the role
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team in our modern Snack Bar. We are pioneering a Toronto-like food dining experience for patrons in Oshawa. We are all about community and building something special and unique out here in Durham. We offer a large variety of tapas dishes including a ton of vegan options.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for meal preparation, cooking on-line for dinner service, and maintaining high quality food standards. Experience and creativity creating menu items and weekly feature items is a plus!
Duties:

Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food

Cook and assemble dishes as per recipes and specifications
-
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
-
Follow food safety standards and guidelines
-
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate food production
-
Creative menu ideas and plating would be appreciated
Qualifications:

3-5 years experience as a line cook and a passion for food and hospitality
-
Excellent knife skills are required
-
Bringing in your own sharp knives and tools are required
-
Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques
-
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment is required
-
Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members

Experience with various kitchen equipment and cooking techniques
-
Flexibility to work different shifts as needed per events
-
Knowledge of cooking vegan food is an asset

Good vibes and positive attitude is an asset
