Scope of the Position
Prepare and securely crate all signage for safe and protected transportation to installation sites.
Key Objectives and Accountabilities
- Provide quality product on time and to customer satisfaction
- Support timely response for all areas regarding material handling and crating activities
- Works cooperatively with internal and external Pride customers
Essential Functions
- Review and verify daily shipment schedule with Lead Hands and/or Production Supervisor.
- Prepare signage for crating, using foam, cardboard or other packaging materials.
- Measure and cut lumber required to crate signage effectively. Box and crate signage accordingly
- Perform safe operation of hand tools and chop saws.
- Ensure product is identified and numbered on outside of crate, taking into account and identifying number of crates per shipment.
- Confers with Team Leads regarding crating requirements
- Store raw materials in racking, deliver materials to Router tables
- Assists in other areas of production as assigned
- Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly
· Skills, Knowledge, Education & Experience
- One year experience in a similar environment. (assembly, wood working, crating/packaging)
- High School Diploma preferred
- Forklift License Prefered
- Must be able to read and write English, must have good math skills
- Ability to demonstrate effective listening and verbal skills
- Good work ethic
- An ability to read and use measurements and read blueprints
- Experience working with hand and power tools
- Team oriented with an ability to work with others in a multicultural environment
