About the role
Wilco Contractors Southwest Inc. is hiring Experienced Finish GPS Heavy Equipment Operators (Excavator & Dozer).
Please note - All Operators will undergo an in person Competency and Evaluation by our HEO Manager at the Wilco Contractors Training Facility, prior to receiving an offer and starting work.
Duties and Responsibilities;
- Operate and control equipment safely in varying ground conditions.
- Follow safe work practices, procedures, and specific work site conditions.
- Complete daily inspections and hazard assessments.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment.
- Follow project plans and specifications to complete tasks.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively.
- Inform management or mechanic of major repairs and maintenance requirements.
- Willing and able to assist ground crew when equipment/machine, is not in use
- Strong communication skills
Qualifications and Requirements;
- 5+ years experience as Finish Excavator or Dozer Operator
- Strong ability to cut to finish grade on ditches, berms, and slopes; all with a high level of precision.
- Experienced with GPS is an asset, but can be trained by Wilco HEO Manager.
- Experience working around multiple utilities.
- Knowledge of and adherence to, ground disturbance standards and regulations.
- Experience in performing daily maintenance and checks on heavy machines.
- Valid driver’s license as well as a clean driver abstract
- Possess a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Pay: $36.00-$38.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 70 per week
