The Role
The Finance Manager will be a key member of our growing, dynamic team and will be supported in their role by a Finance Associate. The Finance Manager will be responsible for several key areas of our business, including:

Financial Reporting
– Supporting the CFO with the Stormont Group’s financial management function, including the preparation of both audited and accountant-reviewed financial statements, internal management accounts, bookkeeping function, employee expense management, tax filings, and liaising with our external accountants and tax advisors

Cash Management –
Managing Stormont’s receivables and payables, cash management, cash flow forecasting, credit facilities and liaising with Stormont’s lenders and bankers

Risk Management
– Assisting with compliance-related reporting for the Stormont Group’s real estate brokerage and other regulated business compliance functions, ensure adequate controls and documentation are in place as may be required by the regulatory bodies

Finance Operations
– Active oversight of select finance/operational functions, including insurance, IT, payroll and benefits and liaison with third party service providers

Investor and Shareholder Reporting
– Managing the preparation of reports and presentations to investors in Stormont’s managed investments on a monthly/quarterly/ad hoc basis, including quarterly/annual financial results

Legal Administration
– Assist the CFO with the administration and management of Stormont’s shareholder agreements, including all key dates and compliance aspects, minutes books, shareholder meetings and events (issuances and redemptions, distributions, etc.)

Strategic Projects
– support senior management with various strategic initiatives on an ad-hoc basis, including identifying areas for systems or process optimization in our business
Qualifications and Experience
- Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, economics or other relevant technical discipline, with at least five (5) years of experience
- Big 4 accounting firm training, alongside a CA, CPA or CMA qualification is preferred
- Experience in fund accounting/reporting within the finance industry is preferred
- Strong foundation in financial reporting and controls
- Attention to detail, team oriented, ability to problem solve, strong initiative, interpersonal skills
