Grow with us Ericsson will not provide immigartion support for this role. About This Opportunity We are seeking an experienced senior leader to head one of our 5G/6G Baseband Development teams. You will lead a team of 15-20 highly skilled engineers contributing to 5G/6G L2 and L3 design and development the gNodeB platforms. This role sits at the forefront of next-generation RAN technologies and offers a unique opportunity to influence the future of 6G and Cloud RAN development.
What You Will Do
- Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for a team of experience baseband system engineers
- Provide leadership in design and development area in the broader global RAN Performance organization
- Guide early phase technology exploration and prototyping for 5G and 6G
- Collaborate with global counterparts including product support teams, market areas and customers to ensure alignment and excellence in Baseband performance.
- Engage in technical discussion with customer units and task forces to support product line managers to present Ericsson product capabilities and roadmap
- Drive innovation and best practices across the team, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
What you will bring:
- Deep technical expertise in 5G Baseband systems, including 3GPP standards, relevant algorithms, and implementation experience, particularly with Ericsson’s gNodeB product.
- Proven track record in leading senior technical teams, with the ability to inspire, coach, and develop expert-level engineers.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to operate and lead effectively in a global matrix environment.
- Familiarity with Ericsson’s internal R&D processes and collaboration frameworks.
- Customer engagement and technical task force experience in 4G/5G Baseband environments.

Ericsson offers excellent health benefits including the choice of 2 medical and dental plan options that allow an employee to select the level of coverage that suits their needs. Employees will receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of the Deluxe medical and dental plan coverages for themselves and eligible covered dependents.
Your Financial Security
We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. Ericsson’s Group Retirement & Savings Program offers an automatic 2% company contribution into the Pension Plan. Ericsson also offers a 50% match of employee’s contribution into the Registered Retirement Savings Plan, up to 8% of the employee’s contribution (maximum of 4% match). This leads to a total company contribution potential of 6%. Employees will also receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of basic life insurance and basic accidental death and dismemberment coverage, as well as short-term disability coverage. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson’s Stock Purchase Plan.
Your Time
Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 18 days of accrued vacation, 3-5 personal days (depending on role), 10 holidays, 1 volunteer day, and unlimited sick days. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee’s start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 10 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
