SUMMARY
The Technical Sales Representative is responsible for cultivating key business relationships with new and existing customers through exceptional customer service and support.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Handles customer queries and provides exceptional sales support including product sourcing, entering and expediting orders, preparing quotations, and troubleshooting order-related issues
- Provides direct support to customers primarily through phone calls and email
- Markets new products and services available from the company
- Works closely with Inside Sales personnel to achieve common sales goals and objectives
- Provides product solutions to meet customer needs
- Cultivates key business relationships within assigned territory
- Reviews regularly customer sales activity, identifies opportunities, and maximizes account saturation
- Presents a professional image in all interactions and behaviours
- Provides the highest level of service in accordance with the company’s quality system and ISO standards
- Uncovers new sales opportunities and potential prospects through industry databases, networking, referrals, etc.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Post-secondary education: 2-year or 3-year Electrical Technology program
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Proficient computer skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Previous Electrical distribution knowledge/experience
LICENSES AND/OR PROFESSIONAL ACCREDITATION:
- CPSA (Canadian Professional Sales Association) certification
