Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners and their beloved animals, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our veterinary clinic. Your responsibilities will include scheduling appointments, handling inquiries, and ensuring a welcoming environment for both pets and their owners.
Responsibilities
- Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism upon arrival.
- Schedule and confirm appointments for veterinary services.
- Answer phone calls and respond to client inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage electronic filing systems.
- Process payments and manage billing inquiries efficiently.
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with administrative tasks as needed.
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Collaborate with the veterinary team to provide excellent care for pets in the clinic.
- Handle laboratory samples as required, ensuring proper protocols are followed.
- Assisting the veterinary care team with animal handling, exams, and treatments
Requirements
- Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using computers and veterinary management software (Cornerstone/EzyVet) is a plus.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being.
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures or willingness to learn is highly desirable.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary.
