About the role

Position Summary: Reporting to the Senior Director, Direct Sourcing, the Manager, Direct sourcing role requires collaborating with stakeholders to create and implement innovative sourcing and demand management strategies that align with business objectives, minimize risks associated with supplier spending, and achieve cost savings. This role involves working closely with different departments within the organization and external vendors to ensure effective procurement and supply chain management. The individual in this role must have strong financial analysis and risk management skills, excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities to navigate complex scenarios and achieve favorable outcomes.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Manages sourcing categories end-to-end (Data collection, Market Research, Planning, Stakeholder Management, Supplier Selection, Due Diligence, RFI, RFP, Contract Negotiation, Execution, Evaluation, etc.).

  2. Maintaining strategic sourcing relationships and developing strong partnerships with suppliers at the executive level.

  3. Negotiating cost-effective contracts with key suppliers, including costs and terms of supply, service, and quality.

  4. Works with stakeholders to develop and implement innovative sourcing and demand management strategies to achieve business and cost management objectives.

  5. Evaluating sourcing procedures and provide advice and guidance of improvement strategies to senior management for approval.

  6. Conducting market research and developing business cases to assess opportunities.

  7. Gather industry knowledge and communicate market trends affecting the assigned spend categories pro-actively to internal stakeholder.

  8. Driving purchasing decisions based on cost and scenario analysis, as well as market trends.

  9. Leads change management programs of varying scope and type.

  10. Create dashboards, KPIs, cost estimates and forecasts to ensure accurate and up to date reporting on project as well as provide insights and recommendations.

  11. Collaborating with QA and R&D to identify and pursue new supplier opportunities.

  12. Reduce/mitigate cost with optimization of products design in collaboration with supplier(s) and R&D.

  13. Maintains knowledge of leading procurement practices and promote adoption of procurement standards.

  14. Hiring, training, and managing procurement department employees.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering, business, economics, finance, or in a related field.

  2. Minimum 5 years' strategic sourcing experience in a related industry.

  3. In Depth knowledge of sourcing processes, procedures, and controls

  4. In Depth knowledge of relevant risk and regulatory requirements

  5. Knowledge of business analysis, and project management

  6. Proficiency in Advance Excel, Power BI, dashboards, KPIs, forecasts and estimation.

  7. Experience in compiling, synthesizing insights from a variety of research sources.

  8. Travel required to build and foster executive-level strategic sourcing relationships.
