POSITION: Learning and Development Consultant Caregiver-Mediated Early Years (CMEY) Program and Supervised Instructor Therapist Day Services hybrid role

HOURS OF WORK: ONE (1) position full-time with CMEY and cross over supports within the regular day ABA programs (ave. 40-hour work week); may be required to work flexible hours, including evenings with amended work week schedule to reflect longer days in a condensed work week model. The condensed work week can be created Monday to Thursday with the right candidate to work 40 hours in 4 days or a regular work week with 1-2 evening sessions and Friday afternoon’s off.

LOCATION: Centre-based, community, and virtual services in Toronto, Ontario with possible travel to the surrounding GTA region for meetings and home supports where required for planning with supporting community agencies and/or service delivery.

COMPENSATION: Salary commensurate with education and experience as related to the requirements of the role. Those who come trained in PRT and/or ESI/SCERTS may begin at a higher salary. Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and employer-paid benefits program will; be available for full-time staff and set block vacation and statutory holidays of a minimum of 40 days annually. Opportunities for professional development (e.g., online, and in-person training, conferences), regular clinical supervision by Program Manager, Associate Director, Clinical Director, and Executive Director are a core component of the position.

POSITION SUMMARY: New Haven Learning Centre is seeking experienced professionals for our MCCSS contracted Caregiver-mediated Early Years program and services for those who are 12-48 months (age 1 up until their 4th birthday) with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder, and who are registered in the Ontario Autism Program (OAP) in addition to working alongside our day service staff in supporting block and intensive ABA services.

Services will include a focus on Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT) and Early Social Interaction/ Social Communication Emotional Regulation and Transactional Support (ESI/SCERTS). All service supports will be founded on the scientific principles of ABA and will be focused on growing potential and changing the lives of our clients and their caregivers throughout the process of supports and services in a 6-month model of intervention offered in-Centre and virtually.

With the clinical oversite of a RBA (ONT.)/BCBA Director and Program Manager, the successful candidate(s) will offer families a combination of didactic and consultative services with a primary focus of either PRT or ESI/SCERTS. The service progression will include group and individualized services, didactic and consultative intervention, and coordination with the licensed Clinical team as the successful candidate also supports skills acquisition across our day services. The successful candidate(s) must be prepared to develop and delivery services for participants in addition to supporting the overall delivery of the program, complete pre/post evaluations, support the secure collection of required data, and participate in intakes and reporting to the Executive Director and MCCSS. The successful candidate(s) will complete both administrative and clinical tasks, receive supervision and clinical oversight from the licensed clinical team and work collaboratively to offer a successful program to those who need early intervention and effective services that allow caregivers and families to both maintain and generalize individual success and progression within this time-limited program.

The successful candidate(s) will receive supervision and clinical mentorship in addition to reporting to the Program Manager, RBA (ONT.)/BCBA Director, Clinical Director/ Clinical Supervisor, and Executive Director as appropriate.

Specific duties may include, but are not limited to:

· Participating in and/or leading educational and therapeutic assessments

· Actively supporting functional assessments which may include, where approved, functional analysis

· Providing input for all required service reports in a timely manner

· Developing and writing training content and individualized programs based on clinical and educational assessments completed prior to, during, and throughout service

· Coordinating individual, service cohort(s), and staff progress

· Participating in ongoing clinical supervision

· Meeting with caregivers and community partners

· Upholding the highest standards of service ethics and the mission and vision of New Haven Learning Centre

· Abiding by and adhering to all agencies policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS: Completed bachelor’s degree or college program in an appropriately regulated health profession (e.g., Applied Behaviour Analysis, Psychology, Education, Speech-Language Therapy)

· Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) in good standing with the BACB or International Behaviour Therapist (IBT) considered an asset and may be a requirement in alignment with the job roles and responsibilities

· Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities

· Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently and under the direction of senior management in a fast passed program

· Flexibility and demonstrated strengths in short-term service supports

· Demonstrated ability to use a variety of computer software and data management systems

· A valid Ontario driver’s license, appropriate work-related vehicle insurance and use of a reliable motor vehicle that meets all regional and provincial standards for use at work may be required.

· Clear Criminal Record Check, including vulnerable sector search no older than three months from the date of hire

· Valid First Aid Training Certification and Safe Management Inc. training or a willingness to complete training as required

· Preference will be given to bilingual (French/English) candidates and those who reflect a robust ethical framework for working in a diverse environment.
