About the role

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Manager to lead and expand our sales efforts in the Toronto area. This individual will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, building strategic partnerships, and ensuring customer satisfaction across both established and emerging markets.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in selling HVAC, ductwork, or mechanical solutions, with a proven ability to engage sheet metal contractors, engineers, and key decision-makers. In addition to actively managing the sales pipeline and representing Toronto Venting Solutions and other product lines, this role will be responsible for executing sales strategy and developing sales talent.

This is a hands-on leadership role that combines strategic oversight with tactical sales execution, ideal for someone who is technically inclined, growth-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. As part of the company’s continued growth, the Sales Manager will also play a key role in supporting the introduction of new products and services to the market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with sheet metal contractors, engineers, and industry stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with company growth objectives.
  • Lead all aspects of the sales cycle including customer presentations, quoting, closing, and after-sale support.
  • Develop and grow a high-performance sales team
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance management to the sales team, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Conduct regular training to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
  • Provide support on specifications, installations, and problem-solving in collaboration with engineering and customer teams.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, networking events, and client meetings.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs.
  • Take ownership of regional P&L performance and contribute to revenue forecasting and budgeting.
  • Monitor KPIs, analyze sales data, and prepare regular performance reports for leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of sales experience in a technical or industrial environment
  • 3+ years in sales management or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC industry trends, products, and regulatory standards.
  • Demonstrated success in territory growth and new business development.
  • Proven ability to manage and coach sales teams in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
  • Existing network and relationships in the construction, mechanical, or engineering industries.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver’s license; ability to travel within the territory as required.

Physical demands and work environment:

  • Work is primarily in office with frequent travel around the Toronto, ON area.
  • Successful candidate must be able to operate standard office equipment and use a computer to access, input, and retrieve information.
  • Frequent travel is required to attend industry events, trade shows, and client meetings, including managing sales efforts in person.

We represent VaughanAir, Schebler Chimney Systems, Centrotherm, and Field Controls. Our experienced manufacturer reps and engineers will help you specify and design the right solution for each project.
