About the role

Assignment:

  • Part-time 0.60 Educational Assistant position
  • The ideal candidate will have an understanding if and experience in trauma-informed practice, and who will work alongside students as they work towards meeting their academic goals.
  • Assisting students with developing executive functioning skills
  • The successful candidate will primarily work with indigenous youth
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for the nutrition and breakfast program
  • Duties to commence August 27, 2025 and will continue for the remainder of the 2025/2026 school year

Qualifications:

  • Experience and/or training as an Educational Assistant

  • Experience working in an outreach school setting

  • Ability to formulate strong and healthy relationships with students

  • Working collaboratively with all staff to ensure the best possible educational experience occurs every day

  • Support teachers as needed

  • Need to be able to work in a high school environment with the majority of youth coming from at-risk environments.
