Summary

Our client is a leader in the home energy sector, recognized for their commitment to operational excellence and innovation. They are currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team with a specialized focus on Central Services—supporting key corporate functions including Call Centre, IT, Supply Chain, Technical Services, Operations Support, and Customer Accounting.

This role will be pivotal in providing data-driven insights and financial leadership that empower decision-making across these critical business units.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and maintenance of recurring and ad-hoc financial reports focused on Central Services functions, ensuring timely, accurate, and relevant data analysis.
• Support and enhance budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning, including variance analysis and scenario modeling tailored to service-focused departments.
• Build, refine, and maintain financial models to evaluate business performance, identify trends, and uncover opportunities for efficiency and cost optimization.
• Collaborate with business leaders in Call Centre, IT, Technical Services, and more to understand financial drivers and ensure financial insights align with operational strategies.
• Provide strategic financial guidance through KPIs, dashboards, and executive-ready presentations that influence decision-making.
• Drive and support cost-reduction initiatives, operational improvements, and resource allocation analysis.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent financial interpretation and planning across business units.

Requirements

• Education: Post-secondary degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• Experience: 4-6 years in a financial analysis role, with a preference for experience in FP&A or corporate finance supporting internal service departments.
• Technical Skills: Strong in financial modeling, budgeting, and performance tracking; able to translate financials into business actions.
• Excel Mastery: Advanced Excel skills are essential (modeling, pivot tables, data manipulation).
• Tools: Experience with Power BI or other visualization tools is a strong asset; exposure to ERP systems such as SAP is a plus.
• Business Acumen: Comfort working with diverse operational teams; ability to understand business levers in service-oriented departments.
• Communication: Strong communicator with the ability to present complex financial insights clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
• Initiative: Self-motivated, analytical, and comfortable navigating a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Additional Information

• Work Model: Hybrid (4 days in office)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
