About the role
The Team Lead, Accounts Receivable will contribute to overseeing and developing the global Billing team. Your key focus operationally will be to partner with the Finance & Accounting Management as well as Account Managers in improving processes and taking charge of major projects and help support the Finance & Accounting Department in day-to-day billing management.
YOU WILL

T he Team Lead, Accounts Receivable performs a variety of general accounting support tasks in an accounting department

Effectively lead, manage, and oversee a global team of 2-5 staff.
-
Keeping up with account reconciliations regarding unbilled revenue and revenue recognition.
-
Updating and reconciling customers are billing records with Account Managers, legal, and customers.
-
Investigate questionable data and make recommendations to resolve discrepancies.
-
Special projects as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
-
The successful applicant will have proven experience in a similar Billing Team Leader role, within a medium/large-sized organization preferably in the professional services industry, as well as the following attributes:

5-10 years of relative supervisory work experience.

Analytical thinking with a keen desire to improve processes.
-
Experience with Workday is an asset.
-
Proficient with Microsoft Office, most importantly strong Excel skills.
-
Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments.
-
Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
-
Strong problem-solving/troubleshooting skills.
-
Self-motivated and able to work in a fluid, fast-paced, high-volume environment.
-
Excellent leadership skills with an ability to improve staff morale.
-
Familiarity with project accounting is a plus.
-
Familiarity with processing/managing multiple entities' receivables, including foreign subsidiaries, currencies, and taxes is a plus.
