Location in the Innovation portfolio at THP, the Strategic Design & Business Development (SDBD) team is responsible for working closely with programs and groups to lead and support the codesign of meaningful, scalable and innovative solutions to shape a healthier and more equitable tomorrow for the hospital and community. Reporting to the Manager, Strategic Design and Business Development, we are seeking a highly creative and organized Project Manager who will be focused on supporting a portfolio of activities on the team, including business development activities in partnership with our Trillium Health Partners’ Foundation, program development to enable innovation at our point-of-care, and the creation of visually compelling materials for knowledge sharing. The Project Manager will be a highly organized individual with background and experience in overseeing strategic projects, including the management of timelines, deliverables, risks, communications and reporting updates to people of interest at various levels. The individual in this role will be a clear communicator and skilled writer and will be comfortable creating, writing and editing various materials, including proposals, presentations and reports. This role will work closely with both staff and leadership across the hospital. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional writer that can research, translate, synthesize and edit materials into clear communications for the intended audience in multiple formats, has experience in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment working with diverse people of interest, and has a strong background in managing complex, strategic projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide project management support across the department, including the development and use of standard tools and processes
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of projects including planning, coordination, tracking tasks and deliverables, and budget management
  • Preparation and presentation of project documentation including proposals, reports, project plans, budgets, meeting agendas, documents and slide decks
  • Monitor and report on progress, risks and issues associated with the project to all people of interest and escalate as appropriate
  • Provide strategies for risk mitigation and resolution where appropriate
  • Engage and communicate with people of interest on an ongoing basis and ensure changing resource and project requirements are met and understood
  • Work closely with different people of interest across THP, including staff and leadership to understand key audiences, topics and opportunities and refine visual and written materials to align
  • Research, synthesize and write effective and persuasive business development content on complex topics for diverse audiences, including proposals and presentations

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Successful completion of a university degree in business, innovation, communications or health-related discipline
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in project management in health care environments such as hospitals, government or private sector
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation preferred but not required
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel and Word in particular)
  • Previous experience running multiple concurrent projects tackling challenges with a high-level of ambiguity
  • Experience in technology, innovation, commercialization, procurement and business development
  • Excellent organizational, time management and project management skills with demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Exceptional communications skills (visual, verbal and written)
  • Effective interpersonal communications skills and ability to successfully build relationships with senior leaders, scientists, research staff and clinicians
  • Ability to synthesize and present information in a concise and visual manner that is easily understandable and engaging for the intended audience through presentation decks, pitches and other project materials
  • A team player with the ability to work in an interprofessional and collaborative environment

The Strategic Design & Business Development (SDBD) is currently working both remotely and onsite and will require the successful candidate to accommodate a hybrid working model.
