Position Summary: Under the direction of the Team Lead, Exercise Programs, this enthusiastic and self-motivated individual will provide exercise classes in the community that are adaptable to the varying degrees of the participant abilities and enables them to maintain an independent lifestyle.
This is a 6-week contract with the possibility of an extension. The classes take place during the daytime and the schedule is as follows:
Mondays – Dundas – 11am
Tuesdays – Dundas – 11:30am and 1:30pm
Wednesdays – Ancaster – 1pm
Fridays – Ancaster & Dundas – 11am, 12:30pm and 1:30pm
Requirements:
- Minimum two (2) to three (3) years’ experience in fitness instruction with adults and/or older adults
- Minimum two (2) to three (3) years’ in group facilitation with persons living with dementia
- Valid Standard First Aid certification
- Vulnerable sector police check issued within 3 months of the hiring date
- Must have a valid driver’s license and regular access to a reliable vehicle.
- Ability to speak a second language is an asset.
