The Fleet Maintenance Administrator is responsible for keeping track of inventory, and ordering and purchasing parts required to perform repairs on trucks. They will also be required to complete Parts Inventory Management including negotiating the best value, receiving, organizing inventory and parts room, supporting the technicians for parts requirements, and charging parts used for work orders. In this position, you may need to coordinate pick up or delivery of parts from the vendors to Emterra Environmental. Some of your responsibilities will include dealing with warranty claims and processing returns. Your duties will also include administrative tasks such as billing and crediting vendors, answering phone calls, and responding to emails.
Responsibilities:
- Schedules Preventive Maintenance for Emterra Environmental vehicles and orders required parts for maintenance services.
- Files the repair orders, PMI forms and DVIR's (Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports).
- Enters maintenance-related data into the system daily as needed. Verifies the information entered by mechanics.
- Order parts that were requested from the night and day shifts with shop manager approval.
- Maintains parts inventory including cycle counting parts.
- Receives, labels, stocks and dispenses parts to mechanics, supervisors and managers.
- Assist shop manager by reviewing equipment hours and reports.
- Produces productivity and usage reports for management.
- Follows all safety policies and procedures.
- Employees in this job classification must attend and participate in corporation sponsored training courses as assigned.
- Employees in this job classification are responsible for keeping up to date on current technology, as job appropriate, being used Emterra Environmental.
Requirements:
- Minimum six months related work experience required.
- Experience in the waste or trucking industry preferred
- Must have the desire and ability to learn RTA proprietary software applications.
- Computer proficiency- MS Office, data entry, Fleet Management software and email.
- Ability to multi task.
- Ability to prioritize and plans work activities with speed and accuracy
- Capable of working independently and work collaboratively with a team; and
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Some lifting up to 60 lbs will be required.
