About the role

About 1Password At 1Password, we’re building the foundation for a safe, productive digital future. Our mission is to unleash employee productivity without compromising security by ensuring every identity is authentic, every application sign-in is secure, and every device is trusted. We innovated the market-leading enterprise password manager and pioneered Extended Access Management, a new cybersecurity category built for the way people and AI agents work today. As one of the most loved brands in cybersecurity, we take a human-centric approach in everything from product strategy to user experience. Over 165,000 businesses and millions of people trust us to provide seamless, secure access to their most critical information. If you're excited about the opportunity to contribute to the digital safety of millions, to work alongside a team of curious, driven individuals, and to solve hard problems in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, then we want to hear from you. Come join us and help shape a safer, simpler digital future. We're looking for an experienced Product Manager to help drive the product strategy, roadmap, and execution of our billing systems. As a Billing PM, you will be responsible for strategy and execution of our channel integrations, improving existing integrations with payment providers and defining the roadmap for new integrations and channel opportunities. You'll work closely with cross-functional partners across engineering, design, sales + support, compliance, finance, and data to drive large-scale change to how customers consume 1Password. This is a high-impact, high-ownership opportunity to build the systems that power our business and build the foundation for long-term growth.

This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.

What You Can Expect

  • Work closely with your cross-functional partners to define and build reliable and flexible channel integrations.
  • Iterate on the core billing and payments infrastructure in partnership with Finance, Sales, Support, and Engineering, balancing business needs with long-term platform scalability.
  • Partner with other 1Password product teams to power new monetization efforts and unlock sales levers.
  • Drive planning and prioritization, defining and tracking key metrics including payment success rates, reducing involuntary churn, and revenue recovery, and work closely with engineers to define feature functionality and execute against the roadmap.
  • Evaluate and integrate third-party payment providers and tools to optimize performance and reduce costs

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of product management experience, bonus if your experience is in billing / commercial systems.
  • A track record of leading complex product launches that require alignment across many teams.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills and a highly collaborative approach.
  • Strong preference for experience in billing, payments, or commercial systems.
  • An understanding of the strategy, incentives, and mechanics behind billing and payments.
  • Experience working to deliver technical solutions that are used as the foundation to deliver features to customers.
  • Platform or infrastructure product experience with a focus on scalable systems.
  • Comfortable working with APIs, integrations, and technical system architecture.
  • Experience evaluating and integrating third-party payment providers and tools.

Our Philosophy On Product Consists Of Six Core Pillars

  • Ownership - You should think of yourself as the CEO of your product domain. Build influence without always having the formal authority.
  • Focus and Execution - can you ship quickly and measure results?
  • Customer Empathy - are you motivated first and foremost to solve customer problems?
  • Effective Communication - can you bring the entire organization - horizontally and vertically - along on the journey?
  • Go To Market - can you understand and drive the business outcomes through product decisions?
  • Technology - articulating how our technology beats our competitors and work constructively and build credibility with our technical teams.

Product Managers play a highly visible role in the company and are critical to the development and execution of our product strategy. As PM’s, we are responsible for setting and championing the high bar for our products. You must excel at prioritization, collaboration and communication, while holding yourself and others accountable for measuring quality and business results.

Embracing the future of AI isn't just encouraged at 1Password—it's an essential part of how we will be successful at 1Password.
