Regina, SK. - Full-Time Position

Pay Range: $57,402 - $68,405.05

The Communications Specialist will play a key role in creating content both written and digital as a communicator and storyteller. The successful candidate will help deliver Safety and Advocacy messaging to external audiences including CAA Saskatchewan’s Members, employees, customers, media, government and community partners. There will be a focus on community engagement efforts as well as the growth, development, and promotion of communications portfolios including CAA’s School Safety Patrol and CAA School Zone Safety Assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communications for Members and External Clients, including writing, researching, and posting articles, blogs, news releases, and social media.
  • Knowledge and experience in public speaking and media and government relations.
  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google, SharePoint, and InDesign.
  • Interview and writing skills for Member testimonials used for promotional purposes.
  • Experience with graphic and visual design, photography, and video production.
  • Coordinate virtual or onsite events related to CAA Saskatchewan’s advocacy and safety programs, and external events planned for CAA Members or the public.
  • Coordinate and/or assist with employee/internal events or initiatives as required.
  • Writing informational and educational content website and magazine content.
  • Coordinate and assist with organization-led events and other community-related events.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Excellent written, verbal and listening skills.
  • Above average communication and people skills.
  • Work collaboratively and professionally in a team environment.
  • Ability and experience to lead projects when required to do so.
  • Experience and knowledge of social media tools.
  • Knowledge and experience regarding commercial print and promotional product needs.
  • Multi-task with attention to detail with a prominent level of accuracy, along with effective time management skills.
  • Work independently, make decisions when required, be flexible, as well as be honest and trustworthy.
  • Knowledge and abilities required for this position would have been gained through a post-secondary education in communications or public relations. A combination of education in a comparable field and experience may also be considered.

This permanent full-time position will report to the Manager of Communications and Public Relations. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
