As a Level 3 Systems Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in supporting and improving our customers’ IT environments. This is a senior technical position within our Managed Services team, focused on advanced troubleshooting, system design & development, and project delivery. You’ll work across a broad range of enterprise technologies and collaborate with both internal teams and external customers to ensure stability, performance, and innovation in their technology infrastructure.

We’re looking for someone who knows how to lead technically without needing their hand held – someone who can take initiative, run with projects, and get excited when complex escalations come across their desk.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own & resolve complex escalated issues across server, storage, virtualization, and networking environments.
• Design and implement infrastructure solutions for client projects and internal initiatives.
• Act as a technical resource for escalations, root cause analysis, and major incident response.
• Perform proactive maintenance, patching, and optimization of client environments.
• Lead planning, design, development, and launch of information systems in support of core organizational functions.
• Manage and monitor backups, patching, endpoint protection, and vulnerability mitigation processes.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to Level 1 and Level 2 team members.
• Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours work when required.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in a senior-level systems engineering, infrastructure, or IT operations role.
• Strong hands-on experience & expertise with Microsoft technologies (AD, Exchange, O365, Windows Server, Hyper-V, etc.)
• Working knowledge of virtualization (VMWare, Hyper-V, etc.), storage platforms, and cloud services (e.g., Azure, M365).
• Experience working with hyper-converged platforms (SimpliVity / Nutanix).
• Solid knowledge of Network Protocols, DNS, DHCP, Windows PowerShell Scripting a must.
• Demonstrated experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products
• Certifications are an asset (VMWare, Cisco, CompTIA, MS-500) but not mandatory.
