S.M.A.R.T. Tutoring & Test Preparation Services is hiring Ontario Certified Teachers and Teacher Candidates for flexible, part-time in-home tutoring jobs in Simcoe County.
If you’re passionate about teaching, tired of short-term tutoring gigs, and ready for consistent student relationships, this is the opportunity for you.
Tutor in These Locations:
- Bradford
- Alliston
- Beeton
- Tottenham
Tutor in These Subjects:
- Grades 1–6: Reading, Writing, Math
- Grades 7–10: English, Math
About the Role: In-Home Tutor (Part-Time, Contract)
As a S.M.A.R.T. Tutor, you will:
- Work 1:1 with students in their homes (50-minute sessions)
- Work towards meeting outlined tutoring objectives with each student
- Use shared team resources and tools to support your planning
- Design your own lessons tailored to your students’ needs
- Communicate with families and the SMART Tutoring team
- Submit progress reports monthly using provided templates
Minimum availability:
4 hours/week, Mon–Fri between 4:00–8:30 PM
Contract length:
12 months (2025/2026 school-year commitment required)

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor of Education (or enrolled)
- Understanding of the current Ontario Curriculum
- Vulnerable Sector Check (required upon hire)
- Reliable transportation & insurance
Preferred:
- Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification or Transitional Certificate
- Additional AQ qualifications or specialization

S.M.A.R.T. Tutoring and Test Preparation Services provides valuable professional experience to qualified teachers who wish to develop their skill sets. Tutors make their own schedules and accept tutoring contracts based on their tutoring preferences, location, and availability. S.M.A.R.T. Tutors work individually, but operate as a team. S.M.A.R.T. Tutoring provides individual and group tutoring and test preparation services delivered by Ontario Certified Teachers and skilled professionals whose aim is to meet the needs of learners through one-on-one tutoring, specialized test preparation courses, and community programs. S.M.A.R.T. Tutoring makes the connection between tutor and student easy. Our tutor’s focus is on the student. Our administration team handles student intake, parent communication, billing, and marketing.
