Machine Tool Fitter/CNC Service Engineer
EMCI is seeking a professional with five plus years’ experience as a Machine Tool Fitter/CNC Service
Engineer for a challenging new full-time position in the Service Engineering Department.
Summary of Job Responsibilities
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, mechanical assembly drawings such as spindles and electrical diagrams
- Moving and aligning components and subassemblies using a variety of lifting and transporting devices
- Performing CNC demonstrations and training at EMCI’s facility and at customer’s plants which can vary in location
- Installing CNC systems, as required, either at EMCI or at customer’s facility and interfacing with existing CNC machines
- Installing/servicing and repairing CNC machines as required
- Testing/preparing machines for shipment and EMCI’s showroom/warehouse
- Organizing and maintaining CNC machines, CAD/CAM equipment and inventory
- Preparing turnkey packages for customers which would include tooling selection, fixture
recommendation and possibly design - Any other duties as assigned (e.g. machine tool shows, etc.)
Job Requirements
- Technical Education: Apprenticeship and/or Technical College Diploma in a related field
- 5+ years demonstrated experience in CNC troubleshooting machine tool experience
- Proven background in and expertise in Fanuc, Heidenhain and Siemens controls
- Demonstrated knowledge of PLC editing in both Siemens and Fanuc controls
- Solid knowledge and experience with high-speed machining processes and knowledge in Hydraulic and Pneumatic power systems including installation of major components
- PC experience
- Welding experience
- Knowledge of machine accuracy tests procedures in 5-Axis
- Knowledge of high-speed machining processes, assembly and adjustments
- Knowledge and experience with multi axis assembly/disassembly
- Knowledge of machine accuracy and geometry tests procedures
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service a must
Language of work: English
Wage: $79k- $85k
