POSITION OVERVIEW
The IT Asset Management analyst will be responsible for maintaining, managing and optimizing the Kruger asset management platform, ensuring the efficient purchase and renewal of software, hardware and services and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
- This position reports to the Manager, Infrastructure Services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Vendor Management / Hardware Standards
- Maintain regular dialog with hardware vendor (HP) for hardware replacement planning.
- Act as the intermediate for all Kruger IT site coordinators to ensure hardware standardization is maximized, while addressing legitimate business needs.
- Oversee equipment lifecycle, taking into consideration the key factors that ensure a computer can reliable support a 4-year lifecycle, including durability, performance, security, and reliability.
Procurement
- Manage centralized procurement process.
- Maintain dialog with all IT site coordinators to manage procurement requests effectively and consolidate them into monthly orders.
- Maintain regular dialog with vendors, managing service levels, ensuring contract obligations are met, including the application of countersignatures and other required actions.
- Maintain and manage a standardized hardware/software catalog and enforce site compliance.
IT Asset Management
- Maintain accurate records of all lease schedules, ensuring all device serial numbers are captured and documented in the designated repository in SharePoint.
- Work with hardware service providers to resolve issues related to lost or stolen equipment, and ensure all exceptions are properly documented against the corresponding lease schedules.
- Conduct regular spot checks in Intune and ServiceNow (SNOW) inventories to validate and track assets and address any discrepancies.
- Leverage knowledge of Intune, SCCM, and SNOW to generate reports requested by management.
Other
- Contribute to projects and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate effectively with other team members across the Support & Run organization.
- Drive initiatives to streamline processes and manage new ways of working.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT asset management, with a focus on software, hardware and service purchasing and renewals.
- Experience with ITIL framework and best practices.
- Knowledge of other IT service management and expense tools and practices.
- Familiar with Asset Life Cycle Management, as well as onboarding and offboarding processes.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Strong expertise in Intel and AMD x86/x64 architectures to support hardware decision making.
- Technical skills: proficiency in ServiceNow and other IT systems.
- Analytical skills: strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop actionable insights.
- Communication skills: excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Team player: ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
LANGUAGES
- Bilingualism – French and English
Knowledge of English is required for this specific position as Kruger deals with partners across North America and the successful candidate will be required to communicate frequently with them. Kruger has taken all reasonable steps to avoid imposing English language requirements, including assessing the actual language needs associated with the duties to be performed, ensuring that the language skills already required of other employees were insufficient for the performance of those duties, and limiting as much as possible the number of positions with duties requiring English language skills.
