Shifts: Days/Evenings
Rate of Pay: $99,030.75 - $123,787.95

Reporting to the Clinical Manager, High and Medium Support Housing, the Clinical Supervisor provides clinical leadership, support and consultation to High and Medium Support Housing. Key responsibilities include maintaining standards of client care, supervision of clinical and non-clinical staff, facilitating program development and promoting best practices. The Clinical Supervisor supports team member development and acts as a role model, mentor and coach to team members.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

  • Current unrestricted certificate of registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario

  • Significant clinical experience in mental health

  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience

  • Committee/work group experience, including in a leadership capacity

  • Experience with implementing and maintaining good community partnerships

Skills/Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of mental health legislation and other relevant legislation (Health Care Consent Act, Occupational Health & Safety Act regulations)

  • Demonstrated knowledge of supportive housing models, concepts and practices, and psychosocial rehabilitation principles and recovery concepts

  • Sound decision making, problem solving and conflict resolution skills

  • Excellent interpersonal communication, team building and coaching skills

  • Demonstrated ability to influence and manage change effectively

  • Ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing

  • Strong project/time management, analytical/critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and recognize others; proven ability to share skills and knowledge with others

  • Proficiency with office computer equipment and software, including Electronic Medical Records, Meditech, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and data base applications

  • Regular attendance at work

  • Fosters the ongoing integration of the St Joseph's Care Group Mission and Principles of Conduct, based on our core values of Care, Compassion and Commitment

CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
