As an Automotive Appraiser II (Imagery) you will aspire to create peace of mind for our clients and our communities and serve our clients with compassion. You will evaluate vehicle damages remotely to determine repairability and regularly work with and respond to internal and external customers, as well as vendors. You are passionate about continuous improvement and operate with high-integrity, motivated by our desire to do the right thing for our clients.

How you will create impact:

  • Creating and reviewing written damage appraisals remotely using damage repair expertise.

  • Sourcing and determining availability of parts, quantifying loss to determine repairability of a vehicle and researching recommended repair processes.

  • Maintaining regular contact with clients and claimants to schedule appraisal appointments, discuss repair procedures, methods and communicate timelines.

  • Communicating with all stakeholders and building relationships throughout the claims process to discuss and approve the repair with vendors & clients to ensure safe, quality repairs are completed.

  • Providing exceptional client service in accordance with our claims service and quality standards, with the view of enabling the organization to be the industry leader in client engagement.

To join our team:

  • You have 6 years of experience in accident appraisals and repairs, or in a related field.

  • You hold an active GAA license or are willing to work towards obtaining it.

  • Post -secondary degree is an asset.

  • Collision repair or refinishing technician certificate and propert damage appraiser certificate are assets.

  • I-CAR Platinum certification is an asset.

  • You have a thorough knowledge of automotive construction and repair techniques and procedures.

  • Fluency in French and English is required to perform essential duties of this job, including providing quality service and communicating with primarily French and English-speaking customers, groups and teams. Key responsibilities requiring knowledge of a language other than French cannot be deleguated to other teams members.

What you need to know:

  • Extended work hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required.

  • Potential exposure to conditions that require health and safety protection, such as chemicals, noise, dust and debris.

  • This role involves direct contact with clients and/or service providers in their environment.

  • You will be subject to a Background check as a condition of employment, in the event you are the successful candidate.
