HOURS OF WORK:
The stated hours of work are approximate as schedules are subject to change with the operational needs of the Health Centre. Changes made to hours of work will follow the terms of the applicable collective agreement, company policy and/or legislation.
Type of Shifts: Days, Nights, Weekends, Holidays
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
The dietary aide is a team member who is passionate about serving nutritious meals to our patients and making a difference at PRHC.
You will be responsible for assisting in the preparation, plating, and serving of meals to our patients, as well as collecting trays post-meal. You will also be responsible for completing ware washing and cleaning of equipment and following established policies, procedures and standards.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- Completion of an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), GED, or equivalent required
- Successful completion of a Food Service Worker Certificate Program or currently completing the certificate program and commitment to successfully complete within 12 months of date of hire
- Food Handlers Training and Certification Course (1 day provided by County Health Unit) required
- Previous experience in the Food Service industry required
- Culinary management diploma would be an asset
- Excellent knowledge of safe food handling techniques required

- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and accurately
- Good interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated literacy and writing skills and abilities
