Alo Food Group is hiring an experienced and passionate server with flexible scheduling availability. An understanding of wine and cocktails is a strong asset.
The ideal candidate in this role has unquestionable hospitality, a passion for all things food and beverage, and the ability to focus in a fast paced environment.
Servers are the first to establish a connection and relationship with our guests. They fully
understand that the guest experience is of the utmost importance. Their role is to guide guests
through our menus with correct, comprehensive knowledge of the dishes, cocktails and wines
that Alo Food Group restaurants offer. Servers take ownership of their tables. They
communicate as much as possible with the kitchen and fellow team members in order to give
the guest the best possible experience. Servers never show signs of distress, they are gracious
and genuine at all times.
Duties and Responsibilities

Cleaning and setting up dining room

Stocking all service stations with pens, staples, lighters, notepads, debit rolls, etc.

Greeting guests with water and explaining details of the menu and any nightly specials

Taking orders and punching them in with appropriate modifications
-
Having first contact with chef and management regarding allergies or specific menu
modifications
- Ensuring guests have drinks, condiments, and everything they need to have a great
meal

Ensuring bills are correct before presentation to the guest

Cleaning and resetting tables

Performing closing duties after all guests have left for the evening

Ensuring wine offerings are properly stocked and chilled for service

Ensuring payments are taken correctly and reports are accurate for management

Running food & beverages

Being confident selling, recommending, and pouring wine

Updating guests notes in the reservations system with succinct and pertinent information
-
Adding personal touches to ensure emotional connection with guests (celebrations are
noted, guests preferences are remembered, etc.)
- Ensuring wine is properly stored after service, bottles are married, and empty bottles
removed
- Ensuring the dining room is clean and organized after service, chairs and banquets
crumbed, all tables cleaned, etc.
- Assist team with polishing at the end of service
Skills and Qualifications

Ability to stand, walk and maneuver for extended periods of time

Ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs

Positive attitude and a passion for providing excellent guest experiences

Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment

Organized with an acute attention to detail

Strong written and verbal communication skills
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.20 per hour
