About the role
Job Description:
To oversee all installation, repair and upkeep operations of Karma Candy’s facilities, including but not limited to production machinery and facility related components. Manage and organize the maintenance department made up of Millwrights and Packaging Mechanics as well as our Facilities Department with various Building Maintenance members with the intent of helping Karma Candy achieve its production goals.
Responsibilities:
- Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation
- Follow up with Maintenance and Building Maintenance departments to ensure inspections are completed
- Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities
- Monitor reliability issues and seek resolutions with the help of your team
- Attend Production/Reliability meetings to figure out common issues in Production and look for resolutions
- Work with Production Manager to ensure that machines are maintained and functioning properly to achieve production targets
- Responsible for managing the Stores Keeper and all inventories to ensure proper stock and availability
- Identify areas for improvement and take action to create improvements
- Ensure logs and daily repair reports are completed by mechanics
- Ensure health and safety policies are complied with
- Help develop, implement and maintain preventative maintenance plan either manually or via preventive maintenance CMMS.
- Work with maintenance team and in-house engineer to design parts for repair
- Handle vendor contact for maintenance, repairs and parts.
- Monitor expenses for maintenance
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- 3 years’ experience in a Maintenance Manager role
- Working knowledge of facilities machines and mechanical equipment
- Excellent time management skills
- Close attention to detail and ability to multitask while still meeting deadlines
- Good interpersonal and presentation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in communicating with a wide variety of cultural backgrounds
- Able to work individually as well as part of a team
- Computer skills, Microsoft office suite proficiency
