Berwick Retirement is looking for Dining Room Servers at our dynamic and innovative Berwick Parksville. We are seeking someone who is reliable, authentic, and excited to make a difference in the lives of people. Schedule:
2 full-time positions available. Position one, is Tuesday to Saturday from 11:00am - 7:30pm. Position two, is Sunday to Thursday from 11:00am - 7:30pm. Hours may vary to support operational needs.
Pay:
The wage is $24.34 and includes wage levelling.
Position Summary:
- Takes orders and serves meals to residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner as per outlined standards.
- Enhances resident and guest mealtime experiences by exceeding customer service expectations.
- Assist in the set up and preparation for service of various items such as beverages, salads, desserts, etc.
- Set and clear dining areas and deliver tray service as required.
- Assist with function catering, and actively participate in special occasions and theme events.
- Follow and comply with health and safety legislation and departmental safe work procedures.
- Comply with all provincial regulations and established department policies and procedures.
- Other reasonable duties outlined by Management.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrates an understanding of excellent customer service skills.
- Preference will be given to individuals who have previous experience in the food services industry and working with seniors.
- Must be physically able to lift and transfer heavy, hot items and stand/walk for majority of shift.
- Non-slip shoes are required
Note: At Berwick we understand the importance of immunization to protect our residents, team members and visitors from COVID-19. As such, a prerequisite of employment is that all new hires are vaccinated as approved by Health Canada. A current TB test and criminal record check are also required pursuant to the Criminal Records Review Act for working with vulnerable adults.
