About the role
Kot Auto Group is seeking a dynamic and visionary Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial operations and drive strategic planning across the organization. This is a key role that will directly influence the future direction of our business, ensuring long-term financial strength, sustainable growth, and continued success across our 11 dealerships in British Columbia.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of extensive experience in the automotive industry, demonstrating a proven track record of excellence and hands-on expertise. Salary for this position will be competitive and based on the candidate’s experience, and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute financial strategy aligned with the company’s growth and operational goals.
- Lead the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting across all dealerships, including performance tracking and variance analysis.
- Direct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and presentations.
- Implement centralized financial controls and reporting systems across all locations to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, internal controls, and audit requirements.
- Maintain accuracy and consistency with corporate policies and automotive retail regulations.
- Manage cash flow, capital expenditures, and working capital needs across all business units.
- Allocate company funds to optimize departmental performance.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency.
- Implement financial risk assessment and mitigation strategies across the organization.
- Analyze company liabilities, investments, capital structure, and oversee fundraising initiatives.
- Manage relationships with banks, investors, and other financial institutions.
- Lead negotiations for mergers and acquisitions.
- Develop and enforce policies related to finance, collections, credit, vendor relations, and spending approvals.
- Design departmental policies to support structured and efficient operations.
- Provide financial input on dealership marketing and sales strategies, including ROI, pricing, and incentives.
- Lead the Finance Playbook to ensure best practices are consistently executed.
- Supervise all controllers and manage accounting procedures company-wide.
- Oversee Kot Land Holdings and Kot Capital Investments.
- Manage all frozen cash and receivables.
Who are you?
- Have a minimum of 5 years of extensive experience in Automotive Industry
- Proven experience as CFO or in a similar financial leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of automotive retail finance, corporate financial law, and risk management are preferred.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA/CPA preferred).
- PBS knowledge is considered an asset
- Must be eligible to work in Canada
