About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory & Kitting Coordinator to play a key role in supporting our Custom Contract Manufacturing (CCM) group, with a focus on Naval Lights. This role ensures the accurate flow of inventory and the timely preparation of kits that keep our assembly lines moving without delay.
Responsabilities
- Function of product receipt and goods storage.
- Accurately gather and stage all required components for each workstation.
- Visually inspect kits for accuracy & completeness.
- Maintain inventory accuracy, monitor levels and stock movements.
- Conduct audits & reconcile physical stock with inventory records.
- Promptly address issues related to damage or missing items.
- Apply inventory control measures to prevent discrepancies and shortages.
- Manage availability and accuracy of supplier-owned inventory.
- Provide assembly support during peak times.
- Support shipping activities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; education or certification in logistics considered an asset
- Previous experience in a similar role in manufacturing or distribution is advantageous.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to respond to changing production demands or unforeseen challenges.
- Ability to lift and move heavy boxes and packages.
- Comfortable standing, bending, and reaching during work activities.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends if needed to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with computers and the ability to learn and use enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is required.
