What You Will Do
Become a Junior Accountant at InterVISTAS and support core financial operations in a collaborative team environment! Join our growing finance team where your attention to detail and passion for accounting will help drive project success and financial accuracy. In this role, you will contribute to a range of accounting functions, assist in maintaining projects, and support financial reporting processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate financial data, while expanding in a supportive environment that encourages professional growth.
Your Role
- Review employee expense reports for accuracy and completeness, make any necessary corrections, and ensure timely processing for reimbursement.
- Enter vendor invoices and collaborate with internal approvers to confirm approvals and promptly resolve any discrepancies.
- Support monthly billing activities by processing client invoices, applying incoming payments, and assisting with accounts receivable management.
- Review submitted timesheets to ensure accurate recording of hours, follow up with employees to resolve discrepancies, and post approved timesheets into the system.
- Record daily cash receipts and payment transactions with accuracy and completeness, and assist in reconciling bank transactions for review.
- Record credit card transactions with appropriate expense coding, collect supporting receipts from cardholders, and assist with the monthly reconciliation of corporate credit card accounts.
- Assist with post–month-end journal entries to ensure accurate and compliant recordkeeping.
- Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and assist in preparing month-end financial reports.
- Assist with the setup and onboarding of new vendors and clients, ensuring all information is accurately and thoroughly recorded.
- Assist in creating new projects in the system, ensuring alignment with project details.

What We Are Looking For
- A diploma or degree in accounting or a minimum of 2 years’ accounting experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, and Teams; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- A self-starter who works proactively with a willingness to learn while being committed to a positive and collaborative team culture.
- Effective time management skills with the capacity to manage multiple assignments, collaborate with diverse teams, and deliver results on time, under pressure.

Competitive salary: CAN$55,000-$65,000 annually.

Actual compensation will be tailored to reflect the unique experience and qualifications of the chosen candidate.
