About the Role
Cash 4 You is looking for a results-driven, senior-level Data Engineer / SQL Developer to lead our reporting, analytics, and automation efforts. You’ll be responsible for maintaining and improving our operational data pipelines, automating critical business reports, building dashboards, and supporting both internal and regulatory requirements. We want a builder who can take ownership, solve problems independently, and communicate clearly—no passengers, no busywork.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the design, maintenance, and automation of all business-critical reports (internal, investor, regulatory).
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, ETL processes, and stored procedures across multiple data sources (SQL Server, Excel, APIs, etc.).
- Build, deploy, and maintain operational dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or custom web dashboards).
- Troubleshoot data, reporting, and automation issues with minimal supervision.
- Design and document data processes for handover, audits, and ongoing team use.
- Proactively identify and close process gaps—deliver “done-for-real” work that stands up under pressure.
- Serve as point of contact for ad hoc analytics requests and support rapid business change.
- Contribute to a transition knowledge base (clear, idiot-proof documentation for all processes).
- Mentor or oversee junior analyst(s) as needed.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or database development roles.
- Advanced SQL (T-SQL, PL/SQL, or equivalent)—can write, debug, and optimize complex queries.
- Experience building operational dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, or custom web UI).
- Strong experience with ETL tools (SSIS, Talend, Alteryx, or custom scripts).
- Proven history of delivering completed, robust solutions (not just “in progress” projects).
- Able to own projects end-to-end: requirements, development, testing, documentation, deployment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Comfortable working directly with business leaders—knows how to escalate and solve, not just update.
- (Bonus) Scripting experience: Python, PowerShell, etc.
